There are dozens of options for delicious summertime drinks, but when it comes to 4th of July, I like my drinks themed. Unfortunately, with a lot of themed food and drink items, they often look pretty but taste less than stellar. I wanted to make sure that whatever I’m made for the family 4th of July BBQ it was pretty and delicious. So I experimented with a few different combinations and landed on this one: 4th of July Berry Punch. Its sweet and just a little bit tart. Perfect to go with all of those hamburgers, hot dogs and potato salads!
4TH OF JULY BERRY PUNCH
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 cups cranberry juice
- 2 cups pomegranate juice
- 1 cup orange juice
You can wash the blueberries and toss a few handfuls into your pitcher. Wash your strawberries, de-stem them, quarter them and add them into the pitcher as well. Then you’ll need cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and some OJ. The 100% juice versions are the best for this. Wash and cut your berries and set them aside. Then pull out a pitcher. Pour in two cups of cranberry juice, two cups of pomegranate juice and one cup of orange juice. Add a few handfuls of ice. Mix it all together and pour into four glasses. Then serve!
And look at the colors! Perfect for the 4th of July!
