What’s better than green beans? Garlic green beans. We have a bit of a debate in our house. Certain members of the family think that green beans out of can are delicious, and certain other members (me) tend to disagree. Canned green beans aren’t the worst, but if you can get them fresh they are so much better. I’m not even sure how its a debate.
Fresh green beans are easy to make! You can steam them plain, or you can sauté them up a bit with some garlic and make them absolutely heavenly. Especially when they are that perfect balance of crispness and tenderness, which is exactly what these garlic green beans are. Also? These are done in a snap.
Garlic Green BeansPrint This
- 2 cups green beans
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove garlic
- Pinch of salt
Melt butter and garlic in frying pan over medium heat.
Add green beans and sprinkle a pinch of salt over top.
Cover pan with lid, and cook for 5-7 minutes depending on desired level of crispness.
Salt and pepper to taste. Serve!
