I know spinach can be an unpopular food, but in this berry green smoothie it tastes amazing because you can’t taste it at all! The mix of sweet and tartness from the berries completely masks any spinach-y taste and allows you to have a nutritious dose of fruits and veggies. Even kids should like this one!
As usual, I made this one with diet cranberry juice as it keeps the calories down and adds lots of flavor, but you can also sub water or another juice of your choice! Using frozen fruit means you don’t have to use ice, and makes everything blend a little bit faster and be less watered down in the process.
You can also prep the ingredients for the berry green smoothie ahead of time by bagging them up like so:
Just measure all the ingredients out, pop them in a freezer bag and put them back in the freezer. When you’re ready to have a smoothie all you have to is pull out your berry green smoothie pack, put it in the blender and add your juice or water!
Berry Green Smoothie
- ½ cup frozen raspberries
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup spinach
- ¾ cup diet cranberry juice
Put all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are smooth. Serve immediately!
More options:
- Add ½ cup of greek yogurt for extra protein
- Add 1 tbsp honey, agave syrup or another sweetener of your choice for extra sweetness.
